Hello Members,

I hope you will enjoy our Newsletter.  Our hope is to help keep members informed and engaged in all of the great things we have going on with the Club.

I would like to take this time to express how proud I am of all the hard work that is being done by our board members, our grounds keeper and our committees.  There is a lot that goes into our day-to-day operations, upkeep and sustainability.  Many of these tasks go unseen but if it were not for all of our dedicated volunteers, we would not be able to keep up with the club and our grounds.

As a reminder, you do not need to be a probationary member to volunteer.  We have plenty to do and the committees are looking for help.

Our projects are moving ahead.  The enhancements to the club will be key to our sustainability.  The logging project is scheduled to begin the middle of May.  This will be helpful when the National Guard comes back in the fall to begin working on the fire roads.  NRCS has awarded us with two projects.  First is the removal of the invasive plants along the driveway, the second is the access road to the Corbett property.  Both of these projects will be starting in mid-August.  These projects will be funded by NRCS and will be great enhancements to our property. Please be sure to watch our website for any range and road closures.

On the Legislative front, at this time bills are held for further study. This means they can come out at any time.  The anti-gun movement is still hard at work trying to strip us of our rights.  Please contact your Senators and Representatives and let them know that you will not support anyone in this year’s election who votes to pass any of these egregious bills.

We are also asking people this year to vote early so we can monitor our pro-gun candidates progress in the upcoming elections.  If you have not voted in the past, it is crucial you vote.  If you do not vote, it essentially counts as a vote for the opposition.  We will be providing lists of pro-gun candidates as we research where they stand on important issues that impact our club.

Summer is right around the corner; I know the club will get busier.  Please remember this club is for everyone to enjoy.  Please help do your part by cleaning up after yourselves.  If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me or any of the board members.

Have a safe and healthy Summer!

Sincerely,

Brenda Jacob, President
